Thread Installations
2014 - 2019
These thread pieces began with questions about perception and how we navigate spaces. What draws our attention, what do we notice easily, and what escapes our consciousness? How does the architecture of a space affect this?
Built with needles and thread sewn into the walls, these installations were designed to be site-specific and work with the seasonal ambience of a room. Perception, it would seem, depends as much on light and color as on physical space.
