Come Spring

vellum, basswood, bulb safety pins, parawire, eyehooks
145"w x 145"d x 135"h
A site-specific installation for the Farnsworth Art Museum, Collective {BASH} at 449 Main St., Rockland, Maine.

The wood and vellum pieces are all linked together, and the entire structure sways in the ambient air currents. The piece subtly referenced the ocean view out the back windows in the space, where ice sheets along the shore line were beginning to break apart as the late winter thawed into spring.
